About the department and growth
The fabrication department has seen significant growth over recent years and has the potential to continue on this trend. The CNC area is also looking to grow and they have invested in a new 3D carbon fibre printer as well.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coach a team of junior to senior technicians to train and develop their skills.
* Plan and prioritise workload to ensure smooth operation of the workshop.
* Oversee the fabrication/welding and CNC machining functions.
* Contribute to recruitment with the team, supporting growth in headcount.
* Apply commercial experience and bring new ideas to the department.
* Maintain a focus on quality, given the presence of world famous brands in Motorsport/F1/Aerospace, MOD, and Marine.
Profile
You'll ideally be coming from a fast paced manufacturing background; sector experience is open, but any motorsport experience would be desirable. The business is performing strongly with expected revenue growth in 2025 and a healthy pipeline for the coming years.
Location
They have a specially kitted out manufacturing workshop located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre. The senior management team is hardworking and dedicated, and the role suits someone sharing that approach.
