We are now looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
The Role
As Sous Chef at Orion, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and support the Head Chef in delivering consistently high standards.
You will:
Support the running of service and confidently run the pass when required
Be capable of taking charge of the kitchen during occasional shifts
Assist with kitchen organisation including ordering, prep planning and stock control
Cook confidently across all sections including fish, meat, garnish and pastry
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
Work closely with the team in an open kitchen and Chefs Table environment
Help drive a positive, focused and professional kitchen culture
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a quality restaurant
Has experience running the pass during service
Is confident cooking fresh food across all sections including pastry
Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure
Takes pride in maintaining a well structured kitchen
Enjoys working in a visible, open plan kitchen environment
Has a genuine interest in seasonal produce and seafood led cooking
Working Pattern
48 hour contract
5 days out of 7
Kitchen typically opens at 10am and is closed by 11pm
