About the role
Pharmacy Technician (Dispensary) – Band 5 – Part‑time (18 hours per week, commencing 1 April 2026)
Working hours:
* Tuesday 9:30–17:30
* Wednesday 09:30–13:00
* Thursday 9:30–17:30
The department is open to flexible working and willing to consider alternative patterns of work.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the operational management of the dispensary.
* Staff training, supervision and development.
* Participating in and implementing service improvements.
* Working with robotics, distribution services and the Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicine Administration (HEPMA) system.
* Participating in departmental rotas for weekend working and public holidays.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* High level of professional practice and commitment to continuous professional development.
* Post‑qualification knowledge and experience.
* Recognised Dispensary or Accredited Accuracy Checking Qualification.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
