Head of Strategic Accounts & Business Development

Barbican - Hybrid Working | Commercial |Permanent| Full Time

Competitive salary available, depending on experience

We areseekinga dynamic and commercially astute leader to head up Strategic Accounts and Business Development across our corporate portfolio. This is a high-impact role responsible for leading the sales and client management of a large, complex client base, spanning over 1,000 organisations and 200,000 employees whobenefitfrom Nuffield Health services. You will take full ownership of corporate client relationships, driving sustainable sales growth, retention and profitability while delivering against ambitious performance targets.

Acting as the external “face” of Nuffield Health across Primary Care, Fitness and Secondary Care services, you will build and strengthen senior relationships across the corporate market, underpinned by a deep understanding of client needs, market dynamics and our service offering. You will lead,inspireand develop a high-performing team, setting clear direction for target markets, salesstrategyand business development activity, and working cross-functionally with clinical, product and operational teams to drive innovation and deliver outstanding client outcomes.

As ourHead of Strategic Accounts & BusinessDevelopmentyou’ll:

1. Define and deliver the corporate business development and sales strategy

2. Identifypriority markets, build pipeline, and drive new business conversion

3. Own senior relationships with key clients and intermediaries, acting as the external face of Nuffield Health

4. Lead client growth and retention across the corporate portfolio

5. Drive commercial performance using pricing,marketingand CRM to maximise value and profitability

6. Build and expand cross-referral opportunities across Fitness, Primary Care and Secondary Care services

7. Stay ahead of market trends,innovationand competitor activity to inform strategy

8. Lead,coachand develop a high-performing sales and account management team

9. Set clearobjectives,monitorperformanceand ensure delivery against targets

10. Ensure all activity is well-planned, targeted and delivers strong client outcomes and satisfaction

To succeed asHead of Strategic Accounts & Business Developmentyou’llbring:

11. Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams

12. Strong background in corporate or healthcare-related markets

13. Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operational delivery and results

14. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills (internal and external)

15. Commercially astute with strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics

16. Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills

17. Strong IT and CRM capability

18. A proactive, self-starting mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

19. Visible,credibleand influential leadership style
