We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to be based at our Honda site in Wakefield, with occasional travel to our site in Doncaster.

The Role - what will I be doing?
As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the accounting department by handling various key responsibilities, including assisting in accounts production, balance sheet reconciliation, and reporting. You will report to the Group Accounts Manager and work closely with our Accounts teams across the Group.
You'll do this by:
* Assist with the production of the Monthly Management Accounts
* Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Accruals and Prepayments
* Reconcile Manufacturer Bonuses
* Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers
* Manage customer and vendor queries regarding account balances, payment terms, and invoices
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for auditing purposes
* Support inventory audits and ensure proper accounting of inventory adjustments
* Provide audit support
* Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
* Gather financial data and perform analysis to support monthly and quarterly reporting

* AAT Level 3 (desirable)
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organizational skills
* Industry experience (essential)
* Confidence using Excel and other Microsoft packages
