The Role
As a Senior Technical Solution Consultant at Basware, you’ll engage with the world’s largest SAP customers to shape how Basware’s AP Automation and e-Invoicing solutions fit into their enterprise architecture. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, Enterprise Architects, and IT leaders, guiding them toward clean-core, future-ready SAP landscapes that leverage Basware’s interoperability, automation, and security.
This is a strategic presales role where technical authority, architectural vision, and ecosystem influence drive customer confidence and sales success. In this role, you report to the Head of Solution Consulting / Solution Value Consulting.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead architectural and integration discussions with enterprise IT and SAP teams—covering connectivity, data flows, and security between Basware and SAP (S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, PI/PO, BTP)
2. Design and present reference architectures that demonstrate how Basware enhances SAP without compromising Clean Core principles
3. Advise customers on Clean Core and composable ERP strategies, helping them reduce technical debt and accelerate SAP modernization
4. Own the technical narrative in RFPs, solution proposals, and executive-level presentations
5. Build and nurture relationships across the SAP ecosystem—including SAP product teams, SAP App Store/BTP contacts, and global system integrators (GSIs) such as Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, and TCS—to extend Basware’s influence and co-sell opportunities. The successful candidate should bring a credible book of existing SAP and GSI contacts as a base to begin with
6. Collaborate closely with Sales, Solution Value Consulting, and Product to align architecture strategy with customer value and ROI outcomes
7. Develop proofs-of-concept and demos that highlight Basware’s API-driven integration, automation, and compliance strengths
8. Stay ahead of SAP and integration trends (S/4HANA migration, BTP, APIs, security frameworks) and share insights internally and externally
Skills & Requirements
What You’ll Bring
9. 7+ years in technical presales, enterprise architecture, or SAP integration roles
10. Deep understanding of SAP FI/MM, S/4HANA, Ariba, PI/PO, and BTP
11. Demonstrated success in integrating SaaS or cloud platforms into SAP environments
12. Strong grasp of security, compliance, and data-governance considerations in enterprise IT
13. Proven ability to build relationships and credibility across SAP and GSI ecosystems
14. Confident presenter with the ability to simplify complexity for executive and technical audiences alike
15. Solid hands-on foundation with APIs, IDoc, EDI, XML/JSON, middleware, or integration platforms
16. Proven experience in presenting to C level customer stakeholders, especially CIOs and able to drive a compelling message of business transformation around Clean Core and AP Automation
17. Although this role requires deep technical acumen it is also imperative that the applicant be able to carry on and drive business level conversations so that they can align the bridge between IT and the business
