We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Ships Agent to join our operational team based at our Pembroke Office.
Ships Agency is a fascinating opportunity to become involved in the exciting world of International trade through its direct association with ships. The ideal candidate will need to be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual, interested in developing a career within a dynamic and ever-changing shipping industry.
No previous experience is required, however the successful candidate must have a clean driving licence, be highly self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team. Attention to detail and good computer skills are essential. After initial training, you will board vessels in port, attending to the Captain's and crew requirements and preparing HMRC and ship cargo documentation
You will work as part of a professional team on a duty roster this is not an average 9 to 5 office based role, you will be required to board ships during out-of-office hours/weekend and bank holiday periods.
