Join Our Care Assistant Team

Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with your community? We have an exciting opportunity for a new care assistant to join our 'Outstanding' island team.

With no two visits being the same, daily tasks can include:

1. Assisting with personal care:
o Provide medication reminders
o Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming
o Help with continence care
o Assist with eating and drinking
2. Home help:
o Perform light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants, etc.)
o Organize and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates
o Plan, prepare, and tidy away meals
o Answer the door
o Assist with pet care
o Provide dementia/Alzheimer’s care
o Provide respite/convalescence care
o Assist with morning/wake-up and evening/tuck-in routines
3. Companionship:
o Offer companionship and conversation
o Monitor diet and eating habits
o Stimulate and encourage through activities (e.g., clothing selection, hobbies, crafts)
o Arrange and remind about appointments, activities, and outings
o Help with travel arrangements
o Organize mail and write letters
o Assist with walking (lending an arm to steady)
o Accompany clients to appointments and social events

Requirements: Must hold a full UK driving licence


Qualifications

No previous care experience necessary. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who share our values of compassionate care and building meaningful relationships with clients as if they were family.
