Purpose of the Role
The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies within the organisation. The role ensures a safe working environment, promotes a strong safety culture, and guarantees compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Policies & Procedures
* Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with applicable legislation and regulations, in collaboration with the (Q)HSE Manager
* Ensure compliance with internal standards and external HSE requirements
Risk Assessment
* Conduct risk assessments and identify potential workplace hazards
* Develop and implement effective risk control measures and mitigation strategies
Training & Awareness
* Organise and deliver HSE training sessions and toolbox talks
* Promote awareness and engagement in HSE culture throughout the organisation
Audits & Inspections
* Perform internal audits and workplace inspections to ensure compliance
* Report findings and provide actionable recommendations to the (Q)HSE Manager
Incident Management
* Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions
* Maintain incident records and provide regular reports to management
Communication
* Act as the main point of contact for HSE-related matters
* Communicate HSE updates, policies, and best practices across the organisation
Continuous Improvement
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSE performance and processes
* Support the development of a proactive and positive safety culture

Job Requirements
* NEBOSH certification (required)
* Relevant qualification in Health & Safety or related field
* Proven experience in a similar HSE role
* Strong knowledge of applicable HSE legislation and regulations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
* Proactive, hands‑on, and results‑driven approach
