Overview
Store Protection Officer - Waitrose Lymington. Payrate £15. BREAKS UNPAID. Permanent location. Full and extensive training will be provided including MAYBO and a key focus on customer service. Company funded SIA licence renewal. Fully supported by the National Operations Centre (NOC) and provided with technology such as body worn camera and incident reporting device. Delivering results that meet and/or exceed the expectations of Mitie and Waitrose by using all technology provided and following ASCONE guidance.
Responsibilities
* Retail Security Officer role to protect the Waitrose store, its people, and/or assets by providing security and excellent customer service through Mitie and Waitrose key values.
* Fully engage with National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management and use of all technology provided, including body cams and mobile devices to aid in the reporting of all incidents.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, familiarising oneself with any changes to suggest amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.
* Comply with Industry and Statutory Legislation (front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision, worn at all times), with additional contractually required courses.
* Work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way.
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous security experience
* SIA License
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Energy and enthusiasm
Training & Licensing
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undergo training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop knowledge through continual professional development.
* You are required to renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Health & Safety
* Look out for, and immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
* Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
* Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
* Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry after any incident for Incident Report purposes.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
