The A Side: A Day in The Life

Studio Island is the award-winning in-house creative studio at the heart of Island EMI Label Group, leading the visual identity for some of the UK's most exciting emerging and established artists.

Our work encompasses all visuals including, but not limited to: Branding, Photography, Music Videos, Merchandise, Social Content, Live Content & Show Design.

We're looking for curious, fearless, plugged-in creatives who live and breathe creativity, music and culture. If you get out of bed each morning striving to make the best creative work of your life, we want to hear from you

You will be joining a team of equally culture-obsessed creatives who work collectively to bring groundbreaking ideas to life and are instrumental in building world-class artist campaigns.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

As Creative Intern, you'll work alongside the Creative Director and Art Direction team - the hub for all things branding, design and image.

A day in the life of a creative intern could look like: assisting coordinating shoots, moodboarding for artist projects, carrying out important administrative work to ensure the studio runs smoothly, scouring social media for interesting creative work and future collaborators.

No two days are the same and this role requires you to be both creative and organised.

Be Creative

* Be a proficient and creative user of all industry standard image making software using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Affinity.

* Research fresh visual, fashion, and cultural trends to help shape creative direction and keep ideas ahead of the curve.

* Research and build lists of exciting new creatives to collaborate with, from photographers and stylists to designers and directors.

* Build and maintain dynamic decks, creative references, and inspiring mood boards that bring ideas to life and sell creative concepts.

* Help prepare polished presentation materials for internal and artist meetings.

* Assist with hands-on production support, coordinating logistics and ensuring shoots run smoothly.

Be Administrative

* Support the Creative Director and Senior Creative Team with diary management, scheduling, and coordinating meetings.

* Support with project workflows, update contact databases, and day-to-day content organisation.

* Raise POs, track budgets, and support supplier payments through Uniport (UMG supplier payment system).

* Take clear, concise meeting notes and circulate timely follow-ups.

* Collate and distribute campaign materials (decks, assets, artwork, etc.) to relevant teams.

* Book couriers, bikes, and transport to support studio operations and production logistics.

* Maintain digital archives and shared folders, ensuring everything's labelled and easy to find.

Be Collaborative

* Work closely with the Studio Island team and wider label departments to bring creative ideas to life across all touchpoints.

* Collaborate with photographers, stylists, designers, and production teams to execute creative projects seamlessly.

* Contribute fresh ideas in brainstorms and creative reviews.

* Be adaptable and solution-focused, helping the team problem-solve on fast-paced, evolving projects.

* Bring positive energy and initiative to every project, supporting a collaborative, open studio culture.

Person Specification

* A visually driven thinker with curiosity, taste, and a genuine creative point of view.

* Culturally switched-on — you know what's happening across music, fashion, and design, and can spot trends before they peak.

* Hands-on and detail-focused, with an eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.

* Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Figma and Miro.

* Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure — you can juggle multiple deadlines without losing focus.

* Collaborative, open-minded, and eager to learn from a world-class creative team.

* A clear communicator who takes direction well, offers smart input, and thrives working across multiple teams.

* Meticulous attention to detail across all areas of your role.

* Above all, someone who lives and breathes exceptional creative work, both making and consuming it - curious, ambitious, and driven to create things people never forget.

Bonus Tracks: Your Benefits

* Group Personal Pension Scheme (between 3% and 9%)

* Private Medical Insurance

* 25 paid days of annual leave

* Interest Free Season Ticket Loan available

* Holiday Purchase scheme
