Deputy Homes Manager: As the Deputy Manager you will provide a planned and safe caring environment which gives care, control, and nurture, appropriate to maintaining and promoting the emotional and physical well-being of children and young people on a planned basis. You will be responsible for maintaining contacts with parents, schools, social workers, General Practitioners, wider family members and staff and managers from across the wider Service. Key Responsibilities: Providing a safe and nurturing environment in which children experience quality of care from a highly skilled team, and where they are supported to enjoy and achieve and make good progress towards the goals identified in their individual care plans. Supervise and develop staff as individuals and as a team, to ensure that the purpose and management objectives of the homes are met, in line with Department policy. Foster the professional development of all staff; to assess training needs; to provide in-unit courses; to use external training resources. Providing effective leadership and management to continue our improvement journey at the Home and achieve at least a rating of Good at inspection. Building effective relationships with parents/carers and professionals across education, health, and social care so that there is effective collaboration across all settings for children, and that the Home plays an active role in supporting children to achieve positive outcomes. Ensuring that children and families are regularly consulted about their experiences at the Home and the care provided, and that their feedback is used to inform service developments. Leading, inspiring, and developing a committed staff team. As part of the control, and guidance to young people resident within the home that is consistent with the Homes Statement of Purpose, Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, The Leaving Care Act 2000 and Oldham Council Policies and Procedures.
