The role
Reporting to the CEO this role offers an exciting opportunity for a top-quality, hands-on Accountant to work for a globally recognised company, acknowledged as a leader in its field. You will be responsible for the provision of high-quality finance support and financial information to key stakeholders. To achieve this, your responsibilities will include ensuring all ledger postings are accurate, preparing management accounts including accruals and prepayments, and assisting with the annual audit preparation. You’ll play a key role in processing complex multi-currency reconciliations of key debtors and balance sheets.
In addition, you’ll also be responsible for purchase and sales ledgers including credit control, reconciliation and input of banks, credit cards, petty cash, daily banking and managing payroll with our external provider. In addition to the operational and other adhoc finance responsibilities this role offers excellent scope for personal growth and professional development. Being a start-up, this role is varied and allows the successful candidate room for expansion within their role, and rapid progression.
You
* are qualified (ACA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
* have recent experience with SAGE 50 or 200
* are able to work with minimum supervision
* are numerically literate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* can understand and manipulate spreadsheets to at least intermediate level
* have a keen interest in Finance and in developing a career in the profession
* have finance experience in a commercial business environment, including previous experience of accounts up to trial balance
* are experienced in managing confidential and sensitive information
* have excellent communication skills, including face to face, telephone and written communication skills
* possess excellent time management and organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
* have a professional, proactive, friendly and flexible approach
* have Advanced IT skills including working with Microsoft Office
