SHE Advisor - North of England
We have a great opportunity for an experienced SHE Advisor to cover the Leeds, Manchester, and Liverpool area.
Our client excels in delivering advanced electrical and mechanical engineering projects, showcasing expertise in overcoming complex challenges.
The unique structure of their organisation allows them to handle both large and small projects, whether standalone or as part of a broader M&E contracting framework.
With a professional and innovative approach, they lead the electrical contracting market, providing comprehensive electrical compliance services to ensure the safety and efficiency of their clients' electrical systems.
Daily Duties:
* Monitoring SHE performance at Regional and Depot level. Reporting to Operational Management on good performance / best practice as well as deficiencies and areas of weakness identified.
* Provision of key support with regards to the development and implementation of improvement actions, initiatives, and plans.
* Assisting in the management of the company's environmental responsibilities in compliance with environmental requirements.
* Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses and sharing lessons learned.
* Reviewing documentation for appropriate health & safety content (RAMS, CPPs, etc.).
* Visiting sites and advising site management on day-to-day health & safety matters.
* Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety Legislation/CDM Regs/Client's standards.
* Promoting and encouraging best practice.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Delivering toolbox talks on health, safety, and wellbeing themes.
* Health and wellbeing promotional campaigns.
Requirements for the role:
* A passion for the Health & Safety Profession.
* Experience, knowledge, and understanding of SHE management principles and best practices within an operational environment.
* Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in SHE matters and requirements.
* Experience in developing and improving processes and driving SHE performance.
* Ideally, come from a Construction, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or DNO background.
* Willingness to challenge unsatisfactory conditions or breaches.
* Excellent IT skills, including Teams, Excel, and Databases.
* A professional approach, self-organisation, and motivation to positively influence stakeholders.
This is an ongoing temporary contract, paid weekly, with an immediate start.
