About The Role
Are you an experienced insurance professional with a strong grasp of policy renewals, risk management, and stakeholder liaison? Do you enjoy bringing clarity, structure, and confidence to fast-paced corporate environments? Are you looking for a short-term role with real impact?
We’re looking for an Insurance Manager to join APEM Group on a 6-month fixed-term contract, helping us manage our 2026 insurance renewal cycle. Working as part of a small but high-impact Legal & Corporate Compliance team, this role will suit someone with strong experience in insurance policy oversight and broker engagement—who is also confident dealing with day-to-day insurance queries across a diverse international business.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile process, liaise with external brokers and internal stakeholders, and ensure continuity, compliance, and best practices across all areas of insurance at APEM.
You’ll lead the full insurance renewal process, working closely with our brokers and in-country teams to negotiate terms and gather the necessary documentation. You’ll respond to insurance-related queries from across the business, support our driver assurance programme, and manage notifications. You’ll also contribute to the insurance budget for 2026, maintain internal policies, and keep our intranet resources up to date. You’ll be supported by our Head of Legal and collaborate regularly with finance, operations, and senior leaders.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
* Experience in insurance or risk management, ideally within a commercial or corporate setting
* Confidence managing policy renewals and insurance documentation
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
* A collaborative, solution-focused mindset
* Organisational confidence and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Comfort working across jurisdictions and with external partners
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting in July, with remote-first flexibility. We’re open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland.
At APEM, we bring together integrity, expertise, and forward-thinking to support vital environmental projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll be joining a team that values quality, autonomy, and working together to get things done right.
You will be offered the chance to work on a variety of projects, many of which have been of personal interest to our employees. We are committed to continuous development and learning to support your career. We also offer benefits such as private medical insurance, access to mental health first aiders, comprehensive income protection, and flexible working options to balance work and life.
Next steps
We are focused on creating a diverse and inclusive team. If you can’t tick every box on our job description, we still encourage you to apply. We are open to supporting your development, whether through part-time work or gaining experience in specific areas. As a growing company, we are willing to adapt roles to reflect individual skills.
If you think you have what it takes to join our fast-growing business, please apply immediately via our website. Submit your basic information and CV; we will review all applications promptly and respond to everyone.
