Project Surveyor – Property Refurbishment Location: Hybrid / Travel Required / Driving Licence Essential Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday Join Bright Horizons as a Project Manager in our Property, Capital Projects & Facilities Team, overseeing a portfolio of 285 nurseries across the UK. You’ll lead 20–25 capital refurbishment projects annually (valued £25k–£300k), contributing to a £13m programme. Key Responsibilities Conduct site surveys and scope works for nursery and garden refurbishments Draft tender documents, review contractor bids, and manage value engineering Lead project delivery from business case to completion, including contract administration (JCT Minor Works) Oversee budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts Coordinate external consultants and manage building control, H&S, and asbestos processes Maintain strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders What We’re Looking For Strong surveying and scoping experience in refurbishment/construction Excellent communication and contractor management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Diploma/degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field – or 10 years’ experience in lieu Why Bright Horizons?
