Role: Events Assistant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Type: Temporary, Full time until end of October 2025
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
The responsibilities of the Events Assistant:
* Work within the Advancement and Alumni Relations Team supporting the Head of Advancement and Alumni Events
* Work in a small team who steward our clients high net worth donors and supporters
* Administer the invitation lists for all events during this period and monitor the inbox
* Responding to every email RSVP as required
* Send out confirmation emails for each event
* Data entry onto Raiser's Edge
* Log guest names, dietary requirements etc. if required
* Assistance with events mailings/envelope stuffing
* Act as Events Assistant over this period and able to do work to support the team in the run up and on the day of the event - anything from organising a welcome desk, welcoming guests, checking on supplies, ordering name badges, distributing tee shirts/branded items etc.
The ideal Events Assistant will have:
* Previous experience in the same or similar role
* Working knowledge of Raisers Edge
* The ability to act with considerable tact and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
* Initiative when handling the day-to-day operations of the office
* Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and evenings/weekends if necessary
* Lots of common sense
* Scrupulous attention to detail!
