Due to continued project wins, our client is recruiting a proacitve Quantity Surveyor that has experience within infrastructure (water, Civils, Rail, Highways) to join the project team around West London
Duties
1. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
2. Apply the required governance and produce Subcontract documentation including negotiation of terms and conditions, prices, and programme.
3. Management of subcontract works packages including, interim assessments of the amount due and subsequent change management.
4. Produce and issue all commercial notices, to both the Client and Subcontractors, as required by the form of contract.
5. Suppoer change in a timely manner in accordance with the form of contract, including the production and submission of Compensation Event Quotations.
6. Support and Produce, submit, and agree monthly applications, to the Client, in accordance with the form of contract.
7. Liaise with operational and engineering staff to ensure site records are kept to the standard required.

9. Identify and manage risks & opportunities to achieve enhanced margin position.
10. Produce and maintain a detailed ‘Cost Plan’, tracking and forecasting expenditure, including detailed schedules of Subcontractor liabilities and use of Oracle based cost analyses.
11. Interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems.
12. Develop a positive working relationship with the senior leadership team, peers and teams to debate, develop and implement initiatives and change management protocols.
13. Apply the principles of ‘Doing the right thing’ in maximising value and profit
About You
14. Good appreciation of standard forms of contract.
15. Strong IT skills including Excel, Word & Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Asite, Orbit)
16. Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
17. Solid knowledge of construction processes.
18. First class time and outcome management skills.
19. Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member, working towards full membership (Desirable)
20. Experience in Civil Engineering Environment (Highways/Rail/Water/Aviation)
21. Exposure on (large single or multiple smaller schemes)
22. CSCS-As appropriate
