Rate of Pay: £15.06- £19.79 per hour
Summary:
The HR Culture Assistant is a career-entry or early-career role designed for individuals with a genuine passion for Human Resources. Sitting within the HR Consultancy team, you will provide a customer-centric "first point of contact" service for employees and managers across Plymouth City Council. This placement offers a unique blend of technical HR administration and employee engagement, allowing you to develop professional consultancy skills while contributing to a positive organizational culture and supporting the council's adherence to employment legislation and best practices.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for the HROD service, triaging incoming HR enquiries from staff and managers and providing initial guidance on policies and procedures.
* Coordinate all grading requests and maintain meticulous records for the job evaluation process to ensure pay equity and organizational consistency.
* Administer and promote the council's financial wellbeing initiatives, including the coordination of salary sacrifice schemes and other employee benefits.
* Ensure all HR data and records are accurate, up-to-date, and handled in accordance with GDPR and employment legislation.
Qualifications:
* You should be currently studying toward, or have already attained, a relevant CIPD qualification (Level 3 or above).
* Strong standard of general education, particularly in written English and numeracy.
Essentials:
* Recent experience working in an HR support or administrative capacity is highly preferred.
* Knowledge of the current challenges facing local government and familiarity with national and local conditions of service is considered an "added bonus."
* Proven experience delivering a customer-centric service, with the ability to handle sensitive enquiries with discretion and professionalism.
