Job Specification: Workplace Coach
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workplace Coach to deliver strategy-based coaching to employees. This role involves supporting individuals with a range of conditions, including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia/DCD, Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD/Combined), and Mental Health Conditions.
The successful candidate will provide tailored, practical strategies to help employees manage challenges such as anxiety, concentration, time management, workload prioritisation, and communication, enabling them to perform effectively within their roles.
This is a dynamic position requiring flexibility, empathy, and professionalism, with a strong commitment to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and keeping up-to-date with best practices in workplace coaching.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one, strategy-based workplace coaching tailored to employee needs.
* Create and implement effective coaching plans, including goal-setting, follow-up actions, and progress reviews.
* Support employees in managing challenges such as time management, stress, workload prioritisation, communication, and concentration.
* Provide written resources, handouts, and notes to reinforce learning.
* Ensure coaching aligns with recommendations from Workplace Needs Assessments.
* Encourage employees to set and achieve short-, medium-, and long-term goals.
* Maintain accurate, timely records and upload coaching plans to the internal database.
* Conduct sessions both remotely (via MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet) and face-to-face when required.
* Work within KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
* Attend sessions punctually, maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
* Ensure confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.
* Adhere to safeguarding and "Red Flag" policies and procedures.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders via meetings, email, and telephone.
* Actively engage in CPD to develop knowledge and skills, staying current with trends and requirements.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
* ILM Level 3 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Effective Coaching & Mentoring OR equivalent experience*.
* Coaching credential from ICF (International Coaching Federation) or EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) OR equivalent experience*.
* Proven track record of delivering workplace coaching.
* Strong knowledge of neurodiverse conditions (e.g., Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia/DCD, vision/hearing impairment).
* Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to empathise and encourage.
* Strong report writing skills with the ability to justify recommendations clearly.
* Experience using recognised coaching models (e.g., GROW, OSKAR, CLEAR).
* Good IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and assistive technologies used in coaching.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to take a dynamic approach to each coaching session, adapting to changing needs.
Equivalent Experience Criteria*
Equivalent to ILM Level 3 will be accepted if you can demonstrate:
* 12–20+ hours of structured coach training (short courses, workshops, mentored practice—please state provider/course).
* Evidence of applying recognised coaching models in practice.
* Engagement in reflective practice (e.g., supervision, peer reflection, learning logs).

Additional Information
* Location: Hybrid – remote coaching with in-person support required across the UK.
* Pay Rate: £40 per hour (remote support) / £50 per hour (in-person support).
