Head of Sustainability
Bridge Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced sustainability professional to join a growing organisation within the construction and housing sector, leading the development and delivery of a group-wide sustainability and ESG strategy.
This strategic role will focus on embedding sustainable practices across the business, supporting the delivery of a net‑carbon housing approach, and ensuring ESG principles are integrated into core decision‑making.
The Role
* Develop and implement the organisation’s sustainability and ESG strategy
* Establish clear targets, monitor performance, and report on progress
* Work closely with senior leadership to embed sustainability across operations
* Act as the internal subject‑matter expert on sustainability and social value
* Support ESG reporting, communications and stakeholder engagement
* Build relationships with external partners including industry bodies, local authorities and policy stakeholders
* Champion sustainability initiatives both internally and externally
About You
* Proven experience delivering sustainability or ESG strategies at organisational level
* Strong understanding of sustainability, ESG and social value frameworks
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
* Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, delivery‑focused approach
* Passion for sustainability within the built environment or construction sector
* Strong reporting and project management capability
Additional Information
* Based in Kent with regular travel to sites across Kent and Surrey
* Car allowance and private healthcare included
* Full UK driving licence required
* CSCS
* Degree and professional sustainability accreditation advantageous
