Social Worker (MOU) MUST BE SOCIAL WORK ENGLAND REGISTERED TO APPLY
JW-RQ1068202
You will be working in a team which is predominantly permanently staffed, with a mixture of newly qualified and more experienced social work staff. You’ll work alongside colleagues in our two Family Safeguarding Teams: although the teams each have separate Team Managers, they work together to support each other and share skills and knowledge. The team pride themselves on a strong learning culture and on their ethos of mutual support. The team have had good feedback in our Ofsted inspection and team diagnostics about the quality of their work, and about their team culture. Here in Somerset, our manageable caseloads let you be the innovative and creative social worker you want to be – undertaking direct work with children and young people to hear their voice and understand their experiences. You will work with parents and the wider family network, with access to Family Group Conferencing, to
support them to identify strengths, tackle problems and change interactions and behaviours. With skilled Team Managers, you'll be well supported with regular and reflective group and personal supervision.
