Minimum Requirements:
* Five years of electrical maintenance experience in a large industrial facility
* High voltage experience maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting and switching high voltage systems (equipment up to 15KV)
* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
* Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrical Technician Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Electrical Technician Certificate
* Possess a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:
* Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide spectrum of plant electrical equipment and machinery in high and low voltage applications
* Maintain, test and ensure the functionality of electrical equipment protection systems, safety systems, emergency shutdown (ESD) equipment, and backup systems
* Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems
* Participate in failure analysis discussions
* Plan jobs, which includes material assessment and selection
* Develop and execute switching procedures
* Assist other maintenance and production technicians to ensure equipment and plant reliability
* Maintain equipment histories as required
Location and other Key details:
* You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta's Athabasca region, 90 kilometers north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
* The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (12-hour shifts)
* You will be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out Rotation from one of the approved hubs of Edmonton or Calgary or a Bus-In-Bus-Out of Fort McMurray
* This is a safety sensitive role
