Decontamination Nurse (Dental Practice)
Are you a detail-oriented and conscientious professional looking to play a vital role in patient safety? Our busy, friendly Dental Practice is seeking a dedicated Decontamination Nurse to join our team.
About the Role
As our Decontamination Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and control within the practice. You will work closely with our clinical team to maintain a safe and sterile environment, supporting both staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the decontamination and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in line with HTM 01-05 and practice protocols.
* Maintaining infection control standards throughout the decontamination room and clinical areas.
* Conducting regular checks, audits, and record-keeping to ensure compliance with CQC and practice policies.
* Supporting the team with stock control, ordering, and organisation of decontamination supplies.
* Assisting in training and advising staff on infection control procedures when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Reliable, organised, and highly attentive to detail.
* Knowledgeable of infection control standards in a healthcare/dental setting (training can be provided for the right candidate).
* Able to work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
* Committed to upholding excellent standards of patient safety and care.
* Vaccinated against Hepatitis B and other routine infections
