About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant in Blackburn to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity, ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is looking for long‑term stability and progression within primary education.
You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. This Teaching Assistant role is suitable for candidates with experience in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the class teacher with day‑to‑day classroom activities
* Providing small‑group or 1:1 support where required
* Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
* Assisting with behaviour management and classroom routines
* Supporting pupils with varying learning needs
Requirements
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and child development
* Relevant qualifications or school‑based experience (preferred)
