Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role involving the assembly, wiring, and build of fume cupboards and laboratory containment systems. You will:
* Assemble and build fume cabinets and lab equipment
* Use hand and power tools for mechanical assembly
* Carry out electrical wiring, soldering, and basic fault finding
* Work from technical drawings and schematics
* Support testing, quality control, and final commissioning
* Carry out minor fabrication adjustments (drilling, fitting, alignment)
* Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and production standards
* Work collaboratively within a small, growing team
Skills & Experience
* Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or workshop environments
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
* Good electrical knowledge (wiring, components, soldering)
* Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable
* Electro-mechanical or panel wiring experience
* Experience with HVAC, airflow systems, or lab equipment
* Basic fabrication or metalwork experience
