The position requires a proactive, customer-driven approach, ownership and responsibility for producing an overall project solution, and for helping to implement and complete projects with the required levels of customer satisfaction and the Schneider Project Team. The role involves managing, engineering, planning and resourcing multiple design projects within the End User Projects Team. It offers the opportunity to progress within the Projects Team.
Key responsibilities
* Operate and design with safety as the primary concern; promote the use and control of documents and tools to ensure a safe working environment; take responsibility for own safety and the safety of others.
* Create and deliver multiple projects with a financial understanding of the projects, including procurement, invoice approval, variation handling, final account agreement, and monthly cost-to-complete reviews; liaise with the Project Manager Team, Operations Manager and Commercial team.
* Define and understand project goals, objectives and performance measures to meet or exceed expectations for high-quality delivery.
* Carry out or be responsible for the engineering design of BMS and integrated projects, including I/O schedules, description of operation, control panel design approval, plant schematics, H&S documentation, and O&M documentation to meet quality standards and ISO requirements.
* Support, coach and mentor projects team members to ensure successful delivery; identify issues and develop proactive plans to resolve knowledge or skill gaps in a timely manner.
* Proactively gather information to progress work; attend site meetings with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants as appropriate as part of development plans.
Skills and attributes
* Experience in BMS projects or equivalent industry.
* Knowledge and experience of Schneider Electric products is preferred but not essential.
Education
* HND/HNC, degree in engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience.
