We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced and enthusiastic experts to play a pivotal role in the implementation plan for our new Enterprise Resource Planning Solution (ERP). This is a unique opportunity to shape a joined‑up Finance, HR and Payroll system that helps ensure the tools we use every day truly work for us and end users across the authority, and to develop your strategic thinking and change‑management experience within a supportive project team.
The position is a fixed‑term contract until the end of September 2027. We are looking for individuals with knowledge and experience of ICT who can take the lead on the ICT workstream for the programme.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead the ICT workstream and be the main contact for all ICT matters on the programme.
* Ensure the system configuration reflects the needs of the business and creates an improved end‑user experience.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure their voice shapes the system design.
* Attend and contribute to workshops, testing, documentation reviews and system sign off.
* Work with the testing manager to develop test plans and help resolve issues or defects.
* Support the creation and delivery of quality training and guidance for all users.
* Lead planning and readiness for go‑live, including processes, data and training.
* Act as the lead and key communication link between the project and the subject matter experts in your area of expertise, creating strong links with internal ICT colleagues to ensure all ICT needs are met for the programme.
The Ideal Candidate
* Sound knowledge, skills and experience in ICT.
* Sound understanding of policies and procedures in your area of expertise.
* Ability to translate these into system and process improvements.
* Confidence in communication with the ability to engage and motivate staff across services.
* Organised, motivated and calm under pressure.
* Interest in systems and change.
Previous experience of system change would be useful but is not essential.
