Trading Manager – Travel | Generous salary | Hybrid (3 days in office, Sutton, Surrey)
Top Recruit is working with a well-established travel business to recruit a Trading Manager to join their commercial team. This is a hands‑on role focused on day‑to‑day trading performance across a portfolio of tours, with responsibility for optimising yield, margin and sales performance.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product and Inventory teams, you’ll monitor booking trends, rate of sale and load factors at departure level, identifying opportunities and risks and taking action to improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Own day‑to‑day trading performance across assigned tours
* Monitor rate of sale, load factor, yield and margin
* Identify underperforming departures and take corrective action
* Make go / no‑go recommendations on tour departures
* Manage tactical pricing and yield strategies
* Support marketing campaigns, ensuring products included are commercially justified
* Participate in weekly trading meetings, providing data‑led insight and recommendations
* Act as an escalation point for Sales and Trade teams on pricing, availability and performance
* Work with Product and Inventory teams to manage tour availability
About You
* Experience in travel trading, revenue, yield or similar commercial roles
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and performance data
* Experience managing pricing and yield on capacity‑led products
* Confident working with stakeholders across teams
* Strong Excel skills (experience with BI or pricing tools beneficial)
