The role:
Gower College is seeking to appoint two Schools support worker to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the exciting 14-16 Schools programme. Both posts will be in the Landscaping and Eco Construction, and Heath and Beauty learning areas.
* Part-time (20 hours per week)
* Term-time (36 weeks per annum)
* Permanent
* £10,663 - £10,890 per annum pro rata based on 20 hours per week (£24,691 - £25,217 FTE)
* Tycoch campus
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and mentor young people, some with challenging behaviour supporting them to achieve their full potential
* Liaise with the school staff and College lecturers, working together to create an effective environment for the learners
About you:
* Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent
* Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
* Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
* Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
