This application track is for a product management position at Canonical on Anbox Cloud. This role offers an opportunity for a technology leader to:
1. Lead the roadmap of Anbox Cloud features and strategy for Android virtualization and containerization.
2. Collaborate with engineering to shape development plans.
3. Define future business models considering the competitive landscape.
4. Engage with the cloud gaming ecosystem and key customers to enable success and market growth.
The role encompasses product leadership and go-to-market strategy, translating vision into plans and successful launches. Our product managers are software engineering professionals aiming to become business leaders, involved in strategy, development, engagement, and promoting open source. They oversee the entire product lifecycle, blending technical expertise with strategic and communication skills to meet user and business needs.
Location: Remote in the EMEA region.
The role involves:
1. Leading product development lifecycle, setting priorities and goals.
2. Working with cross-functional teams: engineering, design, marketing, sales.
3. Addressing project challenges, aligning priorities, and enabling informed decisions.
4. Conducting market research, analyzing trends, and gathering customer feedback.
5. Communicating product vision, updates, and decisions.
6. Performing usability testing and iterating based on feedback.
7. Collaborating on go-to-market strategies, documentation, and training.
8. Supporting sales in winning opportunities and engaging with customers.
What we are looking for:
* Strong academic results at high school and university.
* Understanding of Linux and open source community.
* Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, data centers, cloud, or devices.
* Passion for technology and tech writing.
* Strong work ethic and alignment with open source values.

* Excellent English communication skills.
* Ability to travel up to 4 times a year for up to two weeks.
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with vertical markets, cloud native tech like Kubernetes and Docker, embedded systems, networking, Linux containerization, GPU architectures, Android components, etc.
