About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Manager to join our well‑established and growing company. This pivotal role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of all electrical works, managing certifications, and supporting the continued development of our electrical department across both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the electrical department, ensuring high performance, quality, and compliance.
* Supervise and support a team of electricians and apprentices.
* Ensure all electrical works comply with current British Standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Act as the company’s Qualified Supervisor (QS), completing all associated works, assessments, and certifications.
* Prepare estimates, manage project costing, and ensure profitability across all projects.
* Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support for team members as the department expands.
* Oversee inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting processes in line with NICEIC requirements.
* Manage and coordinate residential and commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
* Carry out electrical installation works when required.
* Collaborate effectively with other trades and departments.
* Attend meetings with clients, customers, and colleagues as required.
* Respond to client and customer queries in a professional, efficient manner.
* Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards at all times.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 with AM2.
* 2391 Test and Inspect qualification (or equivalent).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
* Strong communication and literacy skills.
* Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety standards and best practices.
* Previous experience as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) or in a self‑employed capacity is advantageous.
