ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves supporting the catering function through food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Understanding the principles of safe food handling to ensure hygiene standards are met during all food preparations.
2. Contributing to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly completing all reasonable work instructions.
3. Managing supplies and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
4. Respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident when acting towards residents and visitors.
ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will:
1. Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
2. Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
3. Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and responding to a demanding workload.
4. Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards teamwork.
5. Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
