About Hyperlayer
Hyperlayer is a B2B product company, building a platform to revolutionise the world of payments. Hyperlayer transforms digital wallets into smart wallets that change the way people, and businesses, spend money. Wallets powered by Hyperlayer let consumers withdraw money from multiple accounts with a single tap, for a specific purpose.
Our platform enables capabilities such as connecting specific accounts with targeted brand spending, it gives merchants and customers access to cutting-edge rewards, and since spending is social, Hyperlayer supports group saving, sharing and spending. All in one platform.
Hyperlayer is working with large retailers and financial institutions. Our product introduces innovation to these industries to create solutions: helping consumers, families, and groups improve their financial wellbeing by making their money go further.
About the role:
As a People & Operations Associate, you’ll be at the heart of our people function, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations. But this role goes beyond just HR — you’ll also play a key part in supporting wider business operations and special projects. It’s a great opportunity for someone early in their career who’s excited to learn, grow, and make a real impact in a startup setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries and help foster a positive employee experience.
* Own the upkeep and organisation of internal HR documentation - ensure policies, templates, and process guides are up-to-date and accessible.
* Coordinate recruitment processes: post job ads, screen CVs, liaise with candidates, schedule interviews, and support hiring managers throughout.
* Help ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new joiners, including pre-start admin, welcome materials, and first-day logistics.
* Assist in maintaining and improving HR systems and tools (e.g. HRIS, ATS, or employee engagement tools).
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.
* Support the implementation and improvement of HR systems and processes.
* Assist with general operational and administrative needs across the business — anything from ordering supplies to supporting internal events or projects.
* Get involved in ad hoc initiatives that improve the way we run, from internal process improvements to company-wide projects.
* Provide hands-on support where needed, particularly as priorities evolve in a fast-changing environment.
You should apply if you are/have:
* Comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced environment where direction can shift quickly.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you’ll be working with people across all levels.
* Comfortable maintaining documentation and working with confidential information.
* Proactive, adaptable, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to support different teams and functions.
* Interested in building foundational skills in HR and operations.
* Some experience (internship, placement, or first job) in an HR, people ops, or administrative/operations role is a plus — but attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
