Are you an organised and motivated finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy Commercial division as an Accounts Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the accounts team across payroll, ledgers, and reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide accurate and timely support across a variety of financial processes, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your day-to-day will include:

Processing invoices, credit notes, and receipts for both sales and purchase ledgers
*
Carrying out credit control and credit checks
*
Reconciling purchase ledger payments for director approval
*
Managing cash book entries and performing bank reconciliations
*
Supporting costings using Pegasus CIS
*
Generating and processing sales ledger invoices and applications for payment
*
Using systems including Sage 200, Sage 50, and Pegasus (training offered)
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Previous experience in a similar accounts role
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, logical approach
A positive work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines
Bonus points if you have experience within Buildings/Construction/Manufacturing industry.
