Summary The House Resource Lead serves as the hospital operational oversight point person across their designated shift. This position is responsible for facilitating patient movement, assuring appropriate staffing, initiating emergency protocols, and providing clinical coordination and collaboration. The HRL serves as a liaison across departments, multifunctional teams, and leadership while providing direction, consultation and documentation. Serving as a surrogate in the absence of front-line leader in a dynamic, multidisciplinary patient-centered environment is critical to the role. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree required, BSN preferred MSN or graduate level degree in related field preferred. Minimum Work Experience Two years of clinical experience preferred. Prior Lead or Leadership experience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications Licensed RN in the State of Vermont. ACLS Certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Clinical nursing skills. Leadership skills and abilities. Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork. Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and families. Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive information and situations. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
