The Role
As an EDM Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Spark and Wire Erosion machines to perform high-precision EDM machining operations, producing complex components to tight tolerances within a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting up and operating Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion machines
* Loading raw materials and unloading finished components
* Adjusting machine settings to ensure optimal machining performance
* Working from technical drawings and manufacturing to precise customer tolerances
* Following all operating procedures, safety guidelines, and process documentation
* Maintaining accurate logs of production issues, equipment adjustments, and repairs
* Conducting machine inspections for mechanical or safety concerns
* Ensuring machines remain stocked with tooling and materials to minimise downtime
* Maintaining a strong safety focus while working around operational machinery
* Providing flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods

Qualifications & Experience
* Time served EDM Engineer or equivalent relevant experience
* Proven experience in Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion machining
* Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
* Experience working to high quality standards on precision components
* Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations and procedures
Working Hours
* Full-time, permanent position
* 37 hours per week
* Monday to Friday, three-shift rotation covering early, back, and night shifts
