Role Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring completion within agreed time, cost and quality targets.
* Lead stakeholder and customer engagement, building strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
* Promote and embed a culture of health, safety and wellbeing, aligned with the Perfect Delivery philosophy.
* Manage budgets and costs rigorously, ensuring accurate forecasting, monitoring and reporting.
* Oversee risk and opportunity management in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure delivery of high‑quality installations that exceed customer expectations.
* Champion continuous improvement and encourage knowledge sharing across teams and the supply chain.
* Implement and uphold Morgan Sindall policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Expertise in sub‑station projects, including new‑build delivery.
* Strong background in heavy civils within energy or utilities sectors.
* Knowledge of planning submissions and Ofgem gateway approval processes.
* Proven ability in pre‑construction and design management, with strategic input from early project stages.
* Experience managing large‑scale civils and electrical projects, ideally valued at £100m+.
* High level of commercial and contractual awareness.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
* Demonstrated success in delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
* Passion for innovation, continuous improvement and sustainable project delivery.

About the Energy Business Unit: We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. We install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
