What DHU Can Offer You

Working Patterns: 20 hours - Wednesdays and Thursdays 08:00-18:00

Competitive salary: Band 3 - £24071 - £25675 pro rata + 30% evening and 45% weekend enhancements

Generous annual leave entitlement: Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/ Per Annum


What Your Typical Day Looks Like

* To cover & support with E-Triage validation
* Assist in general administrative and clerical duties and maintain manual/computerised records as required
* To comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices and to be responsible for keeping up to date with any changes to these
* Carrying out direct patient care duties under the direction and supervision of trained nursing/medical staff
* Undertaking further training to carry out and extend skills e.g. basic wound closure, recording ECGs, urinalysis as directed by qualified nursing staff
* Assisting trained staff in administering treatments e.g. assisting with the application of dressings
* Making verbal reports to trained nursing staff concerning patients' well-being and behaviours


Requirements / Qualifications

* Good basic education - 5 GCSEs including English Language & Mathematics, or equivalent
* Previous experience of working in a clinical environment
* Previous Healthcare Assistant experience
* Ability to work flexible hours at weekends and bank holidays
* Good written & spoken English
* Good standard of literacy & numeracy
