Job Description
1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
2. Conducting risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards in the workplace and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve safety.
3. Providing training and guidance to employees on EHS protocols, procedures, and best practices to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address EHS-related concerns and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Managing incident reporting and investigation processes, including conducting root cause analysis and developing preventive measures to minimize the recurrence of incidents.
6. Monitoring and analyzing EHS performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement.
7. Liaising with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders on EHS-related matters to ensure compliance and promote good relations.
8. Maintaining documentation and records related to EHS activities, including permits, inspections, training records, and incident reports.

The Successful Applicant
9. in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or Safety Engineering
10. EHS focused internship experience highly desirable
11. CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industry Hygienist) or comparable certification is a plus
12. Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
13. Have strong communication, written and computer skills
14. Ability to lead a team
15. Good time management and organizational skills
16. Knowledge and experience working with Regulatory Agencies such as, OSHA, EPA, DOT and others as appropriate Professional Certification CSP/ASP/CHST preferred.
