Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join Turner & Townsend in Bristol, UK. This role involves managing end-to-end service delivery, ensuring client objectives are met through effective cost management, and handling commissions of varying sizes across the data centre sector.
Scope
The position offers the opportunity to work with clients throughout the UK and Europe, utilizing bespoke digital tools and supporting our sustainability initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage commissions, coach junior staff, advise clients, and oversee cost planning and tendering processes.
* Conduct contract administration, value engineering, and final account negotiations.
* Collaborate with project teams and lead a cost management team when appropriate.
* Utilize digital tools like The Hive, CostX, and others for cost control and reporting.
Marketing and Business Development
* Identify opportunities for new business, develop networks, lead bid submissions, and improve procedures.
Internal Management
* Ensure knowledge sharing, process improvements, and mentorship of junior staff.
Reporting and KPIs
Report to senior management and be assessed on project management, client relationships, team leadership, and business development.
Qualifications
* Chartered Status, ability to work autonomously, highly organized, and able to build relationships.
