Process Improvement Specialist, Central Flow

About Japan Central Flow (JPCF)

Our team supports Fulfillment Centers (FCs) across Japan. We aim to boost overall efficiency and create opportunities for FCs to deliver customer orders within 24 hours. We dive deep into metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and refine existing processes to achieve these goals.

Process Experts: We simplify and standardize processes, leveraging our expertise to innovate for our customers. We provide consistent ways of working and help FCs make informed decisions by delivering top-notch solutions.

Collaboration: We partner with senior FC leaders and global teams to implement best-in-class products and processes, improving everything from planning to execution.

Your Role: We're looking for a Risk Analyst to help identify opportunities, support decision-making, reduce costs, speed up deliveries, and ensure overall net benefit. You'll be a key player in continuous process improvement and automation, especially focusing on outbound FC risk management.

Key job responsibilities
- Team Collaboration: Work with teams at all levels (country, regional, and cross-regional) to drive improvements and implement customer-focused, cost-saving initiatives. Lead medium to large, complex projects across functions.

- Data Analysis: Use analytical skills to interpret large datasets, perform root cause analysis, prioritize projects, and set stakeholder expectations.

- Business Cases: Develop clear functional specifications and business cases based on identified needs.

- Problem-Solving: Implement rigorous problem-solving methods, support research and analysis, and drive project schedules from design to release.

- Implementation Plans: Design and execute plans, pilot and test new solutions, and roll them out across broader Ops organizations at country and cross-regional levels.

- Business Partnership: Act as a credible partner to Amazon’s Operations network, managing relationships with external partners throughout projects.

- Project Management: Demonstrate strong hands-on project and operations management, taking ownership of project components and adapting to diverse tasks.

- Operational Expertise: Deepen understanding of operational processes, troubleshoot issues, and correct underperforming areas.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years’ work experience.
- Demonstrated strength in excel.
- SQL and VBA knowledge.
- Strong Dive Deep and Problem-Solving skills.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills to ensure a proper interaction with other teams.
- Understands FC process, deliverables and program management best practices.
- Manage expectations and prioritization of daily tasks, providing visibility of progress and escalate barriers to timely delivery.
- Fluent in English.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field or 2+ years industry experience.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt or superior.
- Fluent in English and Japanese
