JOB SNAPSHOT Senior School 1-1 Learning Support Assistant JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Senior School 1-1 Learning Support Assistant Location : Portsmouth Salary: £12,469 (salary pro-rata based on FTE salary of £24,134) Job type: Part Time, Term Time, Fixed Term of 1 Year The Portsmouth Grammar School is a leading co-educational school located in the heart of historic Portsmouth. The Role We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to work for 25 hours per week with an academically able pupil (in Year 12) who requires 1-1 support due to a visual impairment. The Learning Support Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the pupil can safely access all aspects of school life and the academic curriculum. The post is offered for a fixed term of one academic year form 1st September 2025 to 31st August 2026. This is a term time only role, to include attendance at all Professional Development Days (INSET) in the school calendar. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 2.00pm, with an unpaid 30 minutes for lunch.
