Volunteer Role Overview
Do you follow the Christian faith and have time to support the staff and officers of Avon and Somerset Police in prayer both remotely and in person? It doesn’t matter if you know nothing about police or policing matters, your faith and support is key in this role.
Responsibilities
* Attend weekly Friday midday prayers, remotely via Microsoft Teams.
* Provide guidance, listening ear and shared compassion to colleagues.
* Assist with admin tasks at local police station after training, including attendance of annual general meeting.
* Travel to police station for in‑person meetings as required.
Qualifications
* 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK, ideally last 3 years residency.
* Completed enhanced DBS check.
* At least one reference able to comment on interactions with young or vulnerable people in a personal, voluntary or employment capacity.
* Open to flexible working: blended role – work from home and at secondary police premises.
