Join our dedicated Pharmacy & Medicines team and play a key role in delivering high-quality service to patients in NHS Lothian. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacist to contribute to clinical pharmacy service delivery across surgical specialities and aseptic unit based at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to work as a team of pharmacists providing specialist clinical pharmacy service to surgical areas. These areas include General Surgery, Critical Care, Orthopaedics and Reproductive Medicine. The post holders will also have the opportunity to deputise for aseptic services manager as part of their commitment to technical services. They will be able to expand their specialist knowledge and develop their skills in service development, staff management, training and education. These dynamic roles will allow the post holders to be supported through cross-professional collaboration to work towards/achieve core advanced pharmacist credentials.
The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist with a passion for delivering exceptional clinical care.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
1. A Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent).
2. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
3. Completed training or equivalent competence mapped to the

4. Experience in proactively influencing prescribing, using clinical knowledge to optimise patient care.
5. A strong patient-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, enabling effective decision-making in an acute medical setting.
7. A proactive attitude, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
