Job Description:
A great opportunity to join our Marketing team with a passion for high-quality bakery products.
The role includes:
* Manage factory trials in both our Bread and Bake-Off factories, capturing all relevant information, following the NPD procedure guidelines.
* Recipe experimentation and producing concept samples in the academy.
* Liaise with Group NPD to gain product knowledge and assist with launching new products.
* Support NPD projects through to launch, providing coaching and instruction to factory operatives.
* Manage trial results and project updates through scheduled meetings.
* Collaborate with Project and Product Managers, Operations Manager, and Head of Innovation on sourcing, designing, and testing packaging types and materials.
* Liaise with suppliers for packaging and ingredient samples, staying updated on latest innovations.
* Assist in managing the Academy facility, ensuring cleanliness, proper labeling, and organization of ingredients and samples.
* Maintain all site-based NPD paperwork and systems.
* Record and hold weekly meetings with site departments to align on ongoing NPD and EPD projects.
* Assist with product transfers and contingency projects using site knowledge.
* Continuously improve bakery knowledge, ingredients, processes, and techniques.
* Bake off and pack samples for reviews.
* Organize sending samples of products to customers.
* Participate in audits, keeping paperwork ready and participating as required.
Skills and Experience
* 3+ years bakery industry experience
* Good ingredient and product knowledge
* Ability to formulate recipes and develop products
* Operational and factory process experience
* Excellent organizational skills
* IT literate – Excel and PowerPoint
