Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a vibrant school in Salisbury, Wiltshire. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality mathematics education to students with diverse needs, including SEMH and trauma-informed profiles. This role is ideal for a teacher passionate about making a difference in students' lives through education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging maths lessons suitable for all pupils.
2. Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports SEMH needs and trauma-informed profiles.
3. Assess, record, and report on students' progress and attainment.
4. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse needs.
5. Employ strategies to foster positive behaviour and classroom culture.
6. Collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and parents to support student wellbeing.
7. Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and training events.
8. Stay updated with curriculum and teaching developments.
9. Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by school management.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
2. Experience teaching secondary school mathematics.
3. Proficiency in teaching maths to students with SEMH needs and trauma-informed profiles.
4. Strong classroom management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proactive and innovative teaching approach.
7. Commitment to professional development.
