Job Description
Position: HR Assistant
Dayshift: 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri
Payrate to start: per hour to start
Location: Morningside/Sheppard (Scarborough)
3 month contract
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of technology products, including mission systems, radio frequency (“RF”) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and technologically advanced printed circuit boards (PCB’s)
They are looking for an HR assistant to add to their team
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Reviewing performance evaluations and other reports, and creating summaries for HR Managers and HR Directors
2. Notifying employees who need continuing education or on-the-job training about upcoming classes or deadlines to renew licenses or certifications
3. Helping HR Managers and HR Directors decide what salaries to offer to new hires
4. Answering questions from employees and recording complaints
5. Using software to keep track of the hours employees work and tasks they complete
6. Implementing company programs to increase morale, such as bonuses or rewards for top performers
7. Entering data into HR databases
8. Assisting with the recruitment process
9. Conducting reference checks on candidates
10. Tracking the attendance of employees and their use of vacation and sick days
QUALIFICATIONS
11. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
12. Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
13. High school diploma (GED) and or/Post-Secondary within HR
14. Good typing and data entry skills
15. Thorough knowledge of employment laws
16. Able to work within a team environment
17. Familiarity with HR software
