Our long-standing and highly respected client, based in Newbury, is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Goods in Operative to join their expanding team.
Goods In Operative Roles and Responsibilities:
* Receive and unload deliveries of components and equipment
* Check incoming goods against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices
* Verify quantities and inspect for any visible damage or discrepancies
* Carry out visual inspections and basic functional tests to ensure items meet internal and customer quality standards
* Report any quality concerns, damages, or non-conformities to the relevant department
* Accurately input stock information into the inventory management system
* Maintain clear and up-to-date records of all received goods
Goods In Operative Ideal Candidate:
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
* Confident using IT systems, particularly warehouse or inventory software
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Previous experience working with electronic components
Goods In Operative Working Hours and Benefits:
* Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00
* Friday 08:30 – 16:00
* Pension scheme: the employee typically puts in 5% and the company will contribute 3%
* Medicash
* 25 days holiday plus bank holiday
* This holiday allowance will increase after 8 years of service with another day added on from the 9th year for 5 years up to maximum of 30 days holiday
* Both pizza and breakfast are provided by the company once a month
