We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented Performance Manager to own and develop relationships with our dealer partners. This is a client-facing role where you will drive performance, protect and grow accounts, and ensure our solutions deliver measurable value.
Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and driving performance across allocated dealer accounts within your region. With a strong automotive background, ideally in CRM, data, or performance management. You'll work with senior stakeholders to reduce churn, identify growth opportunities, and support the continued expansion of MGS solutions.
This role is field-based, and applicants must be based in the South East. It requires a proactive, self-starting individual who is commercially astute, results-driven, and confident engaging at director level.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Retention
* Own the performance and results of assigned accounts, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with dealer stakeholders, delivering support and insight to create value.
* Monitor and analyse account performance, identifying risks and implementing turnaround plans where needed.
* Provide timely responses to client requests and ensure a consistently professional image.
Growth & Sales
* Actively upsell and cross-sell MGS modules across your account portfolio to meet agreed forecasts.
* Identify new business opportunities via OEM field teams, dealer councils, referrals, and MGS contacts.
* Present tailored solutions that align with client objectives, demonstrating ROI and added value.
Market & Insights
* Stay up to date with automotive market trends, competitor activity, and client challenges.
* Capture feedback to support new product development and product enhancements.
* Share best practices across the Performance Management team.
Collaboration & Reporting
* Work closely with internal teams (sales, product, software development, training, data management, and support) to deliver a seamless client experience.
* Produce clear, concise performance reports and communicate results with supporting documentation.
* Attend industry events, conferences, and functions to represent MGS and gather market intelligence.
Key Result Areas:
* Achievement of sales, upselling, and retention targets.
* Documented account plans with clear objectives, actions, and timelines.
* Evidence of proactive client engagement and turnaround of "at-risk" accounts.
* Effective collaboration across internal cross-functional teams.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in the automotive sector (dealer, OEM, or mobility), ideally with exposure to CRM, data solutions, or performance management.
* A strong track record in account management, customer success, or business development.
* Commercially minded with the ability to balance retention and growth objectives.
* Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting at senior levels.
* Highly proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
* Based in the South East UK with flexibility to travel across the region.
Salary and Benefits:
* Base Salary £35,000 to £40,000 – Depending on experience
* Car allowance £6,000
* 25 days paid holiday per year, increasing to 28 after 3 years in employment, in addition to the usual public holidays in England & Wales.
* Uncapped Commission Scheme (OTE £40,000 - £45,000)
